MEET ANNE TAYLOR YOGA
I believe that alignment is the foundation of wellness and the application varies according to the individual. Busy New Yorkers routinely spend much of their day negating the needs of their bodies, which can lead to structural and functional imbalances with lasting effects. Practicing yoga with attention to form can fortify physical, mental and emotional wellness, especially combined with breath work and meditation practices. My aim is to support the individual in establishing a practice which can be integrated into daily life.
ALIGNMENT BASED HATHA, VINYASA, RESTORATIVE, PRENATAL AND THERAPEUTICS.
Yoga should be for all bodies and all life stages.
Teaching in gyms, studios, community development organizations, mental health and addictions clinics as well as a physical therapy office has been an invaluable learning experience. Teaching yoga in such diverse settings has helped me to understand that yoga in its ideal form is always an adaptive practice. The physical practice of yoga should serve the individual and promote a balanced energetic system. Ideally, the student should commit to a regular practice to achieve optimal benefits. A committed practice is not about extreme vigor but rather one that provides challenges in the practice of both stillness and movement.
